The Forger is a role on the Village team. It is one of the advanced roles of Witch.[1]
Role Description[]
The Forger can forge two shields and one sword. Forging takes one day and each new item must be given to another player before forging the next once. Shields will save a player once from being attacked at night. The Sword can be used to kill another player.
Win Conditions[]
The Forger wins with the village, unless if they are converted into other teams by other roles.
Interactions[]
Using Abilities[]
- The Forger can forge any of its two items in any night, provided they do not currently have a forged item in their possession. The forging process lasts for a one day phase, which then gives the Forger their forged item in the succeeding night phase. A shield can only be forged twice and a sword once.
- The Nightmare Werewolf and Voodoo Werewolf cannot prevent any forging process by the Forger from becoming successful after a day. This also applies to Bully, Jailer, and Warden.
- The Forger cannot use any of its forged items for itself.
Shields[]
- Any given shield stays on a player until the player is attacked. They can only be used to block attacks during one night. Afterwards, it is consumed.
- The Forger cannot give a second shield to a player they had already previously given a shield to. Their attempt also fails if another Forger has given shield to their chosen player.
- The Forger's shield works similarly with the ability of the Doctor. The Forger, like other protective roles, may fail to protect a player and die due to Werewolf Berserk's ability, Frenzy.
Sword[]
- Any given sword stays on a player until they are used to kill another player. Using it consumes it, and kills the chosen player immediately. The sword can be used at any phase of the game after it has been given.
- If there are multiple Forgers in a game and they forge a sword for the same player, that player will only be able to use one of those swords.
- If the Forger gives a sword to their chosen player and that player uses it to kill an unturned Lurker, the Lurker will convert into the same team as the attacker. A Villager using the sword on a Lurker converts them into the Village team, a Werewolf converts the Lurker into the Werewolf team, and all other Solo Roles to their respective teams.
- If the Forger gives a sword to the Headhunter and uses it on the Lurker, whether or not their target has died, the Lurker will be converted into a member of the Village Team.
Death[]
- If the Forger dies after having given other players their forged item, the items given remain on their respective players.
- If the Forger, after making a shield or a sword selects a player to give the forged item to but dies before the succeeding day starts, that player will still get the forged item.
Trivia[]
- The Forger was introduced during the beta version 0.44.1 Update.
- Previously, the Forger was included in the Random Strong Villagers. Upon being converted into the sole advanced role of Witch during Update Role Cards, it became a Random Regular Villager, to match its base role.
- Players speaking English usually shorten the role during reference as 'Forg'.
